Put a name on it
Boards, trays and boxes can carry a mark: a name, a date, a family crest. It is laser-cut before the final oiling, so it sits in the timber rather than on it.

Select
Every plank is read for grain and moisture. Timber that will not behave is set aside.

Cut
Shaped to the drawing, then dry-fitted. A joint that needs forcing is cut twice.

Finish
Sanded through the grits by hand, then oiled. The oil goes into the timber, not onto it.
